Counselling & Coaching
The process of exploring who you are and what drives you to make the choices you do is guided by the expertise of the counsellor to help and ensure you get the results you want.
Having a new self-insight allows individuals to be better placed in the future, for issues that may arise, and often provides the necessary coping mechanisms to navigate the challenges life throws at us.
Probably the most crucial aspect of choosing a qualified counsellor to help you is to find someone that you immediately ‘click’ with.
The client/counsellor relationship is one founded on a high level of trust, and as such you need to be able to freely speak your mind without being concerned that the counsellor may not approve.
Throughout the process people usually achieve greater self-insight which allows for a more satisfying future, a sense of clarity obtained and a feeling of purpose restored from within.
Many people are reluctant to seek counselling because they feel they should be able to resolve their own problems.
All of us, at some stage in our lives, need some help to work through issues.
It shows great courage to ask for help.
Some of the issues addressed in counselling and coaching sessions are:
-
Depression
-
Anxiety
-
Abusive relationships and leaving them or recovering from them
-
Relationship Counselling
-
General dissatisfaction with life
-
Work stress and how to perform better in the workplace
-
Loss of direction
-
Grief over the loss of a loved one
-
Changes in life stages
-
Restore and build self-esteem
-
Help with social interactions through building confidence
-
Life events that are causing ongoing stress or unhappiness
-

-

Counselling can be an incredibly effective process to help explore and create change.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COUNSELLING AND COACHING
A coach is focused on your potential vs. a counsellor is focused on helping you be at peace with yourself and your life. Coaches are trained in assisting clients to move forward in life vs. counsellors are also trained in human development, sexuality, family dynamics, and mental health conditions.
I have trained and worked in both areas creating a perfect blend of skill sets to help you move forward and deal with where you’ve been so there is an ease and flow restored in your life.
The aim is to create clarity in your direction and the pain of your past no longer keeping you stuck.

PROFESSIONAL & CLINICAL SUPERVISION
This is a productive and rewarding session for the professional or practitioner to look at their work practice and reframe any bothering issues that arise in their daily work or practice.
Time to encourage reflection on work practice; feedback, to develop professional and clinical skills; to share and utilise knowledge.
Time to discuss professional and clinical difficulties; to express feelings.
Time to ensure high standards of professional and clinical care are met through expressing, exploring and accepting constructive criticism; providing support in relation to the demands of the job; addressing managerial, service and quality issues, such as monitoring practice, quality of care issues and safeguarding issues.
Professional and Clinical Supervision is a practice-focused, professional relationship that is in place not to examine the level of experience one may have but to help alleviate and explore feelings and questions that may arise from the very nature of the work itself.
Professionals or clinicians that work in direct contact with clients can be at high risk of vicarious trauma and or burn out.
Talk Therapy has been clinically proven to help alleviate stress in the workplace and increase health and productivity in all areas of a person's life.
Professional and Clinical Supervision is essential to achieving and sustaining high-quality practice which improves the client experience, safety, and outcomes.
SUPERVISION EXPLAINED
At different times the supervisor may act as a teacher, coach, mentor, role model and/or advisor.
While supervisees may require guidance and direction at times, I view effective supervision as a collaborative process, wherein supervisees take an active role in:
-
Choosing what aspect of their workplace or practice to focus on and explore
-
Determining how the supervisor-supervisee dyad works together
-
Offering feedback about the experience of the supervisory process and the relationship
-
Developing and being accountable to their own professional standards
-
Creating a wellness and productivity plan.
MENTORING
You might need some guidance on things like:
-
Identifying your internal messaging, creating your identity, learning communication skills
-
The best plan to grow and stay unstuck in life
-
How to create more meaningful relationships with yourself and others
-
Needing more personalised advice to solidify your sense of self
-
How to become more professional in your workplace
-
How to write your story and where to begin
-
Inspiration and advice on how to stand out from the crowd in a noisy world
-
Making the transition into your future journey from a place of uncertainty
Mentoring is for individuals who are serious about moving forward; shifting from good to great, from skilled to superb.
It is for someone who wishes to challenge their potential and truly optimise their results in all areas of life.
Do you sometimes wish there was someone you could talk to about your life, about your ideas?
I offer short and long-term mentoring to help you shift in every area of your life.
I believe to be at the top of our game in all that we do we must understand how to navigate ourselves, unlock and reload what we need to, and, learn to move forward from within.
Mentoring is a coming together that creates excellent change at speed to propel you forward and fast track you to where you want to be.
I’m often asked by potential clients if they can pick my brains.
In fact, it can be anywhere up to 5-6 inquiries a week.
So, as a result, I offer limited once-off 1-1 or small group VIP Strategy Days for clients who may not need a full mentoring program, but just a one-off session on a specific area of their life.
These are a quick injection of motivation inspiration and advice or help where you just want all the short-cuts.
Sessions include feedback, advice, and resources specific to the challenge you’re having.
